Transcendent. From Dictionary.com.
Right now, Telepopmusik’s “Breathe” is playing on my favorite Pandora station, but the album picture is a Franz Ferdinand album. What? Who?
“Indie” is a term that has many, many people under the impression that music with such a label is in some way, Indian, as in, India. Read, banghara beats and Bollywood soundtracks. FALSE. “Indie” is short for “Independent”: a musical group/musician who is not yet signed to a major music label (like, say, Arista) or is somewhat obscure/somewhat recognized, but still has the musical qualities of an Independent group and still produces their own music/lyrics/albums, whatever. (There are Indie labels, like, Fueled By Ramen and Wisteria… but, that’s kind of like Non-Denominational churches. Totally a denomination. So, never mind. Forget I said anything about labels.)
Moving on, when you go to Best Buy/Rhapsody/Vintage Vinyl, or some other music store of choice, the term “EP” next to the album title stands for “Extended Play”, and means there are only a few songs on that ten dollar cd in your hand.
Hopefully, that will clear a few things up the next time you are wondering who would want to pay ten dollars for four tw0-minute Indian songs.
to clarify the recent pity posts, i’ve been in bed for most of the week recovering from wisdom teeth extraction… back to normal now! ah, relief…and substantial food!
I had a really fabulous time with a tonight! Laugh, sing, photoshop, ice cream!
My face has reached record swell capacity! Im so elastic its… Fantastic
Whered all my teeth go? I cant feel my gums & my tongue is cold!
that wallmart text has been going around for a few days, and in different versions. isn’t that a clue that there is no such thing happening “tonight”?
I didn’t realize how late I stayed up working on my college research paper until the next day when my peer reviewer inquired about the sentence reading: “Even more than size and religious involvement is that I have been told by students at each school that college really is not as socially trecherous as high school, particularly Westminster.”
every so often, i add or delete a few of my lesser read tumblogs from the dash, to keep new ideas flowing and freshen up the perspective a little bit.
yeah man! lupe fiasco on pandora! way to mix up the high school musica tunes with something a little less pop-guilty ^ _ ^
today, i had four hours of very stimulating, very provocative, very intellectual conversations. totally god, toally awesome.
i also had a sudden and inexplicable ravaging…nay, UNSATIABLE… craving for candy today. broke down with two bags of peanut butter m&ms and a snickers, all consumed in 10 minutes. and now i’m listening to jojo.
i haven’t had candy in… years… not that much, at least… a “savory” (vs. sweet) valentines and halloween finally caught up to me?
- Girl: Oh, Yves Saint Laurent was a genius!
- Other girl: He was like a totally important designer
- Girl: Like GUESS.
- Other: Yeah, GUESS is a totally important designer.
- Girl: Soo post-modernist how his name is spelt like, in capitals. And only one name, like Madonna.
- Other: Or Jesus!
- Girl: Oh I don't think I've heard of him. Was he around with Balenciaga.
- Other: Before Balenciaga.
- Girl: Woah.
that i’m not a fan of cabbage, but rather like artichokes!
geez. ashley tisdale’s music is kindof racy for a fourth grade disney fangirl to be listening to…
I just found two tumblettes from the stl!! eee! really, i dont know why i’m so excited…i mean, how many people are on tumblr? maybe it’s because one of them is based out of soulard, and i was in soulard this morning. “small world”.
Mock Oragami, by Matthew and the Arrogant Sea, from Paste sampler 51
I finally updated my fashion blog!
Intruiging website by a fellow “fashion sensai” who just found me on twitter. Note to self: investigate further, later. right now, you’ve got posts to do!!!
i fear that any moment now, my dear old emachines compy will conk out on me… he doesn’t like it when i’ve got a whole lot going at once, such as now:
- rhapsody (free songs, yay!)
- tumblr
- three other internet tabs…
- windows (burning paste sampler)
- unzip wizard folders
- print status boxes
please, please don’t die on me, i’m posting!
i just downloaded my free paste magazine music sampler (so the newsstand version does come with one, after all!) and the only band on it i’ve ever remotely heard of is Beruit, and just because I’ve heard of them doesn’t mean I’ve actually listened to them… needless to say, I’m excited about listening to this! Oh, and I’m having a tall glass of apple juice.
…vintage vinyl resistance. i came home with my own copy of give up yesterday! yessss!
(the loop+tiny korean diner w/ all my korean peeps and a math teacher+some great shopping+nighttime in the city+starclipper+new postal service cd=happy. st. louis bliss)
are there ever random things that stick out to you as really, really interesting? that make you wonder, how in the world does this work? who contrived this? , until you go crazy and don’t stop till you finally get an answer? two such things for me right now are twitter and tea bags. please, tell me. how in the world did twitter and tea bags come to be? i am extremely curious (“right now”, to all you mr. holley fans)
the question still remains, to buy or not to buy? honestly, i will most likely not buy anything… but if i were to, i’d get the postal service (get up) and/or atmosphere (you can’t immagine how much fun we’re having).
arrrr! why are all the rick astley/roll videos embedding-disabled-by-request?? sad. not feeling very uplifted, bud.
haha! guess my text thought from barnes and noble didn’t quite fit… long story short… i’ll finish that thought later. As in, probably tomorrow night after dinner on the Loop with a math teacher and a bunch of korean friends (random? not if you live in st. louis) when i finally sit down to conquer the pile of posts i’ve been building up. (and you thought i forgot how to blog…)
see you then… for now, goodnight, tumblr.
que lindo! quiero escuchar a muchisima musica espanol antes de mi viaje en junio… ahora leyendo a juanes por pandora ^ _ ^Eres el arroyito que baña mi cabaña
Eres el negativo de la foto de mi alma

Magazines. I could easily spend close to one hundred dollars a month on magazines. At barnes and noble right now: the fashion glos
i am listening to atmosphere! as of late, lots of good hiphop artists/beat poets have been coming my way, namely, atmosphere, common, lauryn hill and saul williams. it’s nice to know that hip hop good beats still exist.
what is it about sundays? they are so ideal for blogging… restful, serene, beautiful (at least today in st. louis)… the creativity is flowing. expect Color Me (remember that?) to be up and running by the end of the week!Just writing and queueing up lots of posts for What I Wore. I love Sundays!
